- Level 1 – Level 4 $107,761 - $118,738 (pro rata) plus allowances and 11.5% Super

The MCH team sits within the Family, Youth & Children’s unit and includes provision of KAS visits, facilitating first parent groups, outreach work as required, integrated service collaboration, flexible activities to target vulnerability, and participation in early year’s initiatives.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with families, colleagues, welfare and early year’s professionals. You are required to have current registration with AHPRA as a registered nurse and a registered midwife, and a recognised post graduate Maternal and Child Health qualification to meet employment in Victoria. You need a current Victorian driver’s licence, Working with Children and police check.
A position in the MCH team will involve working from any of the six MCH integrated sites across the City of Ballarat, which are predominantly co-located early learning hubs. To match resourcing requirements and to meet the demands of an expanding MCH program days of work will be determined with the successful applicant.
Key Selection Criteria
- Appropriate qualification and current registration as per position description.
- Demonstrated practice based on respect for the values and rights of clients, self and colleagues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with families, colleagues and other professionals.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of evidence-based practice in the Victorian Maternal and Child Health service including Key Age and Stage Universal Maternal and Child Health framework.
- Specialised knowledge of child health and development, women’s health, and family violence.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage own workload.
- Demonstrated commitment to networking and liaison with key community organisations and Government departments.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team framework responding to changing family needs and service delivery requirements.
- Familiarity with computer MS Office 365 products and Maternal and Child Health specific database.
