Casual opportunities exist at the Ballarat Aquatic & Lifestyle Centre for positive and friendly individuals to join our Aquatics team as an AUSTSWIM qualified teacher of Swimming and Water Safety. Don’t have the qualification? That’s okay! If you are aged between 18 and 25 years we have the opportunity to provide access to get your qualification through limited State funding. We're looking for positive, energetic and vibrant people with a willingness to learn and continuously improve. In these roles you will be responsible for delivering classes in our Aquatic Education program which focuses on teaching children and adults to swim and be safer around aquatic environments. Our classes cater for students from nervous beginners through to more advanced swimmers. Our classes are school aged up to adults. You will only be assigned infant and preschool classes if you have the required qualification. You will have exceptional customer service skills and a strong desire to exceed member expectations, with the ability to work well as part of a team. Flexible hours and days are required for this role over a 6-day roster which include some or all the following; mornings, afternoons, evenings and/or weekends. Essential requirements: - AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety.
- Working with Children Check.
- Level 2 First Aid and CPR.
Desirable criteria: - AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics.
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics- Access and Inclusion.
- AUSTSWIM Teacher of Developing Competitive Strokes.
