The Role The Senior Revenue Officer will play an essential role in the team, responsible for the raising of rates and charges and providing efficient and effective customer service to ratepayers, in accordance with statutory requirements, policies and procedures. About you We’re looking for a self-starter who has a high attention to detail, is capable of undertaking reconciliations, can conduct analysis of large datasets, look for process improvements and is accountable. Your experience and understanding of property databases and rating systems in local government, combined with your ability to take ownership and ensure all requests and queries are seen through to resolution will be the key to your success in the role. You will have the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, work autonomously with a solution-based mindset, and ensure work is completed to a high standard Key Selection Criteria - Qualifications in Finance or Business studies with relevant demonstrated experience in a property, rating or valuation environment, or alternatively lesser formal qualifications with relevant experience ideally gained in a Local Government property and rating environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritise and complete tasks within agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrated ability to enter and collate relevant data with high attention to detail, integrating into written reports to professional standards using a variety of computer applications including the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Demonstrated experience and commitment contributing to and working within a small multidisciplinary team environment, in particular utilising judgement, discretion and excellent public relations to deliver consistently high standards of customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with and address clients, residents and stakeholders concerns, developing and maintaining effective partnerships and networks with clients, colleagues and key stakeholders.
