Operations Contracts Coordinator
 
  • Two-year fixed term, full-time position
  • Band 8 Salary $105,550 to $117,192 per annum plus statutory superannuation including a monthly RDO

The Role 

The Operations Contracts Coordinator will lead a dedicated team in the planning and delivery of the Operations Capital program across Civil maintenance, Urban forestry and our Gardens and Natural resource services.  

This role will work closely with other members of the Operations leadership team to establish and maintain an effective contract management process aligning with the organisation’s contract/project management tools and processes. 

This position is a two-year fixed term, full-time position with the potential of being made ongoing.  The salary is Band 8 in the range of $105,550 to $117,192 per annum plus statutory superannuation, including a monthly rostered day off (RDO).   

About You 

The successful candidate will have previous experience in the development and delivery of maintenance and Capital programs and contracts with experience in identifying opportunities, strategic project development and establishing new projects quickly.  

Combined with your ability to develop and apply project tools including project charters, project scheduling / planning, budgets, risk management, stakeholder engagement plans and related project documentation this role could be just what you have been looking for. 

Key Selection Criteria 

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field (construction management, engineering, project management, etc) with well-developed project/contract management skills.  
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering successful operations programs and contracts. 
  • Extensive contract and contractor management experience, preferably from the local government perspective. 
  • High standard of report writing and project documentation. 
  • Demonstrated budgeting, management and negotiation of variations and claims, cost control and financial reporting experience. 
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and stakeholder relationship management skills. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and safety issues relevant to the position.
