Following an extensive review and community engagement, City of Ballarat has developed a complimentary suite of programs and activities as an alternative to the funded Aged Care Service, to support the ageing community. We are looking to find the right people for new and exciting senior team positions.  The new team direction is primarily a community development model to assist Ballarat to continue its development as an Age-Friendly community. 

Your new role

The Coordinator role is integral in influencing organisational policies, strategies and initiatives that create an inclusive and socially connected community for residents as they age and will be responsible for managing and advancing opportunities to support and enable community organisations to address the ageing needs in Ballarat

This role requires management of a team and is responsible for clearly articulating the needs of the community through evidence-based research, data collection and authentic collaboration to ensure Council is strategically planning for the health and wellbeing of the ageing community, now and into the future.

This is a full-time permanent role with a monthly RDO based at the Phoenix Building with a flexible hybrid work option for the right candidate.

This is a Band 8 classified role, salary range is between $107,028 - $118,832 (depending on experience) plus 10.5% super.
