Technical Officer (Operations Team)
 
  • Permanent, Full-time position with a Fortnightly RDO
  • Band 6 salary range from $82,922.84 to $89,577.28 per annum plus statutory superannuation
  • An exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic close-knit team

The Role 

The Technical Officer’s role is to effectively deliver technical engineering and construction management expertise in the investigation, project development and execution of road and drainage infrastructure projects. 

The key responsibility of the Technical Officer is: 

  • to ensure works and services under their control are in accordance with relevant standards to maximise quality and worksite public safety;  
  • to resolve technical and engineering matters to support project delivery and provide timely and accurate advice on technical aspects of works as required by the Operations division; and 
  • to provide specialist technical advice to both internal and external customers and stakeholders 

Key Selection Criteria 

  • Engineering qualification and/or practical experience in a technical role related to road design, renewal and maintenance activities  
  • Developed project/contract management skills  
  • Proven relationship management skills dealing with internal and external stakeholders  
  • Experience and expertise in civil infrastructure engineering standards and design particularly in regard to road and drainage works  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Demonstrated ability to champion, model and promote the corporate values
