The role

Eureka Centre encourages young people to engage with Australia’s colonial history through its Eureka Education programs. We offer a range of onsite and online programs that provide teachers and students with tools and experiences that explore the social history and cultural impact of the Victorian goldrush and the stories of the men and women who risked their lives in the fight for miners’ rights.

Eureka Centre is seeking qualified teachers to join its dynamic Education team as Sessional Educator. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work collaboratively in an agile team to deliver engaging learning experiences to diverse audiences, especially incoming schools.

About you

You will use innovative teaching strategies, including our custom designed app, to deliver programs aligned with the Victorian and Australian Curriculum. You will teach student groups across a range of subjects, year levels and abilities (early childhood, primary, secondary, special needs groups, EAL) as well as casual visitors and adults in a variety of learning contexts.

To be successful in this role you will be a team player with an engaging teaching style and the ability to quickly establish rapport with a group of students.
