About the role
In this role, you will work closely with the Coordinator of Wendouree Children’s Centre to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and care that responds to the diverse needs of families and promotes best practice in early childhood education and care with the team.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, team player committed to delivering high quality early childhood education and care. A solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework is required along with ability to support a holistic and flexible approach to the care, education and development of children.
If you love variety and can think on your feet you will love this role as no two days are the same! This is a diverse leadership role which will see you working with children and staff to model best practice in the field, as well as daily operational responsibilities, stakeholder engagement, administration and decision making.
With a genuine interest in leadership and meeting the needs of children and their families you will demonstrate an ability to lead a team of early year professionals with a holistic approach to the care, education and development of children that reflects an awareness of the wellbeing of children in your care.
Your strong communication and relationship building skills will see you foster and sustain partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders including parents, colleagues and community members. You will have a natural ability to motivate and lead staff to achieve desired outcomes within parameters of the service.
The successful applicant will hold a relevant tertiary diploma in accordance with the National Quality Framework and the Education and Care Services National Regulations or relevant substantial professional experience in Early Years’ services.
